I love game shows, and I have always wanted to be on one. When I was little, I would have done anything to be on GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple, on Double Dare (ok, I would do anything to do those as an adult as well). I watch the Price is Right whenever I'm home during lunch time, and I'm a Wheel Watcher almost every night of the week.
But more than anything, I'm a fan of Jeopardy!
We all do it. Whenever we watch Jeopardy!, we play along. We try to get the answers correctly before the contestants hit their buzzers. When we fail to do so, we chalk it up to not having the time to memorize every fact in every subject in all of history. When we do get a question right, well, you better call NASA, because there's another rocket scientist on the block.
The collection and cataloging of useless and random knowledge has been my life's grandest pursuit. And I have accumulated quite the assortment of tidbits and factoids throughout the years. So to put myself to the test, I decided to finally pull the trigger and sign up for my favorite game show.
Like the best Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes, this task is going to be a two-parter. My test is tomorrow at 11pm. Come back tomorrow (after I've completed something else I've never done) to see how it goes!

I just completed the online test for Jeopardy! I feet ok about it, and I knew more questions than I didn't, and I was even confident in a lot of the spelling. It just sucks that I don't know exactly how I did. The people who grade the test don't say either way how well you did. In fact, all they leave you with is the knowledge that you could be contacted in the next year. Talk about a let down!
For now, I'll just have to stick to playing along as I watch it on TV. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be playing along with me.
